Mariners Crowned 2016 City Champions!

Mariners defeat Catamounts at Roosevelt Park on Saturday

Updated Wednesday July 6, 2016 by Ben Rinehart, BA President.

Please join me in congratulating the Burlington American Mariners on their decisive victory over the Center City Catamounts in the City Championship game yesterday at Roosevelt Park.

Nolan Simon tossed a 71-pitch shutout to lead the Mariners (11-4) to a 6-0 win over the Catamounts (10-4-1). The Mariners' big inning was the third, when they batted around the order and scored four runs off Catamounts starter, Colby Beaupre. The Southenders tallied six runs on only three hits, none of which left the infield. Henry Padnos picked up two of the Catamounts' three hits for the day.

Way to bring home the glory, Mariners! BA All the Way............HOUUUUUUH!!!!!!
