BA Plays Christmas Eve Baseball

68 Degrees, Santa Hats, and Holiday Fun!

Updated Tuesday January 26, 2016 by Alexandre Silberman.

With record breaking temperatures getting up to 68 degrees, Burlington American Little League took advantage and held the city's first ever Christmas Eve ballgame. Kids of all ages turned out for some holiday fun, sporting santa hats as holiday music played. League volunteer Tom Simon helped to organize the event. Thanks to John Pare, the league even fired up the grill for some post-game burgers and hot dogs. The game garnered much attention of local media, as news outlets including Channel 3 WCAX, Channel 5 WPTZ, Fox44/ABC22, and the Burlington Free Press were present. Thank you to everyone who made the game such a great success! Be sure to check out pictures from the event on the "photo albums" page & BA Facebook, and watch the video recap below. Happy Holidays!
